Calm Down

THE SEED
“Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him. Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass”. Psalms 37:7.

There are many things that happen in life to an individual that will bring fear and distress. There are situations that a man passes through that disturbs such a person and have a negative impact in one’s life physically, emotionally, financially and spiritually. Loss of job, things, loved ones, falling sick, receiving bad news, praying to have a child or children, poverty, failing examination or test, not being promoted at the place of work, emotional break-down etc. are some of the issues of life that people encounter. The scriptures while talking about our Lord Jesus Christ in Acts 2:26 (Therefore my heart rejoiced, and my tongue was glad, moreover my flesh also will rest in hope), admonishes us to calm down when we encounter such situations. We should not panic. We should rest our mind and put our trust in Him. He is able to bring us out of the dire situation and we shall laugh at the end.

BIBLE READING: Philippians 4:6-7, Isaiah 26:3

PRAYER: I receive the grace to calm down and to put my trust in God Almighty. Amen.
