THE SEED
“Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example to the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.” 1 Timothy 4: 12(KJV)
The Elders are teaching the young people in the church to grow in their relationship with the Lord nowadays, preparing them to serve Christ in all they do, with the mind to nurture the congregation and allow the church to flourish. But the majority of the youth are not ready to accept the love of Christ. They prefer to engage in worldly things that profit them nothing, they have forgotten that Jesus said You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. Some of the young ones are even complaining that God does not manifest Himself like of old. Yes, the simple answer is that we don’t serve God like of old. The attitudes of some young Christians are not welcoming at all! They parade arrogance, rudeness, cruelness, self-centredness, hatred, contempt and even courtesy is zero. Paul explained it in the book of Galatians as the Bible says “God is HOLY’ and whoever that will serve and follow Him must be holy. Therefore the youth should beware to turn away from their sinful ways. So the youth should be awakened to settle themselves with God Almighty and approach everything they do with diligence, enthusiasm and excellence knowing that their work is ultimately for God’s Glory.
BIBLE READINGS: Proverbs 1: 7 – 11
PRAYER: Almighty Father we pray that you change the hearts of our youth towards you positively and make them useful for your Glory in Jesus’ Name. Amen
