“Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God.” Isaiah. 40 : 1 KJV
The good news to we, the children of God is that our warfare is over, our sins have been forgiven. Let us think about the battles we engage in from time to time, some of us have been battling with a particular sin for many years. Some people have battled an addiction such as pornography, depression, bitterness, fighting with insecurity, inferiority complex, yes, sometimes, it is financial battle or even a disease. Alas, the Lord wants to bring us to rest and comfort us from our battles and addictions. God is telling us today ” Fear not” the Lord our Creator does not take delight in our sufferings. He is ever ready to put succour to everywhere the shoe is pinching us. Many people cannot even imagine for a second that God is up to the task, He wants us to be happy, He can conquers our battles, grant us victory over our enemies and give us everything we desire, they did not want to believe it’s because of us His creation He sent His only begotten son on the cross to die for the remission of our sins, they don’t even know God is more powerful that all their deities, that is why they run from pillar to post, not knowing God is a loving, Merciful and Faithful Father, that wants us to be comforted, though He will never comfort us in our sinful ways of life but He want us to seek first the Kingdom of God and it’s righteousness so that every other thing shall be added unto us. God knows we need comfort, He wants to soothe that emotional pain, financial nightmare or health calamity. He delights in comforting His people, not judging them. Therefore, brethren decide to put on the garment of holiness for you to enjoy to the end of time the comfort from God your Creator.
