CONFESSION OF OUR FAITHFULNESS

THE SEED
“Though you probe my heart, though you examine me at night and test me, you will find that I have planned no evil; my mouth has not transgressed.” Psalms 17:3 NIV

Hmmm, the opening scripture is deep, deeper than the confession of a nominal Christian. There are situations in life that provoke this kind of confession before God. You have to have a deep and cordial relationship with God before such confession can be honoured by God. It’s not a boastful confession but a confession that comes from a place of groan and great expectation for God’s attention or intervention in overwhelming situations. The beautiful thing about this type of groan outburst is that it moves the hand of God to wroth wonders in whatever you seek Him to do in the situation. As Christians, in our journey, we can not escape such an overwhelming situation but the good news is that our walk with God in truth and our good relationship with others can play a great role in God’s intervention to bring deliverance and breakthrough. The Psalmist said, “Though you probe my heart, though you examine me at night and test me, you will find that I have planned no evil; my mouth has not transgressed.” Can you boldly say this in God’s presence?
