COURAGE FOR THE JOURNEY

THE SEED
“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9 (NKJV)

Stepping into the unknown can be intimidating, but God’s promise to Joshua echoes to every believer facing new challenges: “Be strong and courageous.” Courage is not the absence of fear, but the resolve to move forward despite it, trusting that God is with you. Joshua faced a daunting task: leading an entire nation into the Promised Land. Yet his confidence did not rest in his abilities, but in God’s faithful presence. The same God who parted the Red Sea for Moses would part the Jordan for Joshua. The same God who tore down the walls of Jericho would fight his battles. When we embrace God’s call with courage, we discover that His strength is made perfect in our weakness. Fear may try to whisper doubt, but faith shouts louder: “God is with me!” Am I allowing fear to hold me back, or am I moving forward with the confidence that God is with me?
