THE SEED
“Dead flies can make a whole bottle of perfume stink, and a little stupidity can cancel out the greatest wisdom.” Ecclesiastes 10:1 GNT
Moses was a great patriarch, a man that God said there was no one as humble as he was, the man that God spoke to face to face, the man God used to announce Himself to Pharaoh and Egypt, the one that was given the power to part the Red Sea, the man that God punished his siblings who spoke against him, the only man that God gave the key of the past to which enabled him to write the history of creation for our benefit. There are so many ingredients that God put together to make the sweet perfume given to Moses, but when he allowed anger to enter the bottle, it became so polluted that God had to terminate his appointment to lead the Israelites to the promised land. What is the composition of your God-given perfume? A child of God, amiable, loving, gifted instrumentally, a great song composer and sonorous singer, a vessel of honour, a wise elder in the Church, a Pastor, etc. But, what about the fly you are allowing to enter your bottle of perfume? Is it anger, talkativeness, impatience, pride, worldliness, carnality, etc? Let’s be aware that if we pollute our bottle of sweet perfume, God might terminate our appointment just like He did to Moses.
PRAYER
Every evil fly of inconsistency that could cause me to lose my position in You, I renounce them.
