Divine Security

THE SEED
“You hem me in behind and before, and you lay your hand upon me.” Psalms 139:5 NIV

Just imagining the words of the Psalmist in the above Scripture in your mind, it’s mind-blowing and honestly, these words can only come from someone who has walked with God through the thick and thin of life. The Psalmist shared his experience with God in his troubled times. He got complete protection from the Lord. He was hemmed in and surrounded by the Lord and the enemies were restricted to harm him. What a privilege, but this didn’t happen by careless living and walking in disobedience. God in His faithfulness and righteousness can not hem in anyone that does not have regard for Him, can not surround anyone that chooses to walk in their ways or a Christian by birth and not in mind, a churchgoer who camouflages to be a child of God while known as perpetrator of great evils. As a child of God, we need to dwell in His secret place to dine and fellowship with the Holy Trinity always, trust God totally and continually abide under His shadow, just like the Psalmist did, then we shall enjoy the great privilege of God’s divine security in all our situations.

BIBLE READING: Psalm 91:1-3
PRAYER: Lord Jesus, help me to keep myself acceptable, to be hemmed in by you from all the attacks of the enemies. Amen
