THE SEED
For we dare not make ourselves of the number or compare ourselves with some that commend themselves: but they are measuring themselves by themselves, comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise. 2 Corinthians 10:12.
Publicity and popularity are the aims of most celebrities in our present world. Young men and women are after fame and are known all over the world. This is one of the reasons
why social media has evolved in the last decade and has continued to thrive. If a good deed is done, the individual would like to tell everyone around that he or she was the one that did it and will like to be credited or appreciated for it. Blowing ones’ own trumpet as loud as possible is not a strange thing to some people. Apostle Paul was asking in 1 Corinthian 3:1, “do we begin to commend ourselves? or need we, as some others, epistles of commendation to you, or letters of commendation from you?” What do we think is the mind of God about this issue?
Jesus said, but when you do a charitable deed, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, that your charitable deed may be in secret: and your Father who sees in secret,
will Himself reward you openly. Do not praise yourself. Let God appreciate and reward you. He will do it better than you can do it.
PRAYER
May God empower me to do all things for His praise. Amen

Jesu wipe ‘Ṣugbọn nigbati iwọ ba nṣe itọrẹ ãnu rẹ, máṣe jẹ ki ọwọ́òsi rẹ ki o mọ̀ohun ti ọwọ́ọtún rẹ nṣe.’ Ki itọrẹ ãnu rẹ ki ọ le se itewogba, ma se yin ara rẹ. Sugbon jẹki Ọlọrun fún ọ ní ere pípé. Ọlọrun yio ṣe dara ju bi o ti le ṣe lo.
