THE SEED
But Jacob said, “First you must swear that your birthright is mine.” So Esau swore an oath, thereby selling all his rights as the firstborn to his brother, Jacob. Genesis 25:33 NLT
In 2023, King Charles was crowned king after his mother, Queen Elizabeth, died in 2022. The line of succession for the family became possible because King Edward abdicated the throne in 1936 so he could be free to marry an American divorcee. Therefore, Elizabeth’s father became the new king, whom Elizabeth succeeded in 1952 after his death. In the text, Esau traded his birthright with a pot of porridge because he was hungry. That was one of the reasons why it was easy for Jacob, through their mother, to deceive Isaac, making him think that it was Esau who brought the food. Compromising situations can make you trade your life, your righteousness, your standing, and your faith with perishable things that are useless and are not necessary. Food for the belly, belly for the food. God who created you knows how to provide food to fill your belly. Your faith and walk with God can be traded when men offer you positions of honour, food items, money, a job, a car, a wife or husband, etc. Be cautious; most times these act as baits to make you fall or be captured into the web of Satan. Worldly things can be presented to you as luscious, like the apple given to Eve, as too good to be true and fantastic. However, they are coated with deceit, fakery, disease, shame, and downfall. God can never disappoint you; trust in His appointment and provision. He clothes the lilies and feeds the ants, and so He cares for you and will provide for you.
