DOERS OF THE WORD

THE SEED

But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. James 1:22(KJV)

To become the doers of the word means obeying God’s commandments and adhering strictly to them, without moving or looking to the left or right. We can achieve these through studying the Word of God to get intimated with Him, knowing all that He demands from us as man, and praying to communicate with Him without ceasing. Then His spirit will come to dwell in us and guide us to become the doer of the word. It is not the hearers of the law who are righteous before God, but those who read the Word, meditate on the Word and apply it to your daily lives because it’s only the doers that will be justified Romans 2:13. Furthermore, the doers of the word will always be ready to seek for the truth and when he finds it he will apply to his life and he will become a new creature, for old things have passed away. Hearers only listen to Know the Word but never live with it, Doers on the other hand listen, know and obey it to the letter. So brethren pray for the Power of the Holy Spirit to empower you to overcome the flesh, to interpret God’s Words to you, and most especially to open your understanding for the Word, to be the hearer and the doer of the Word in order not to deceive yourself.

PRAYER: O Lord, help us to be the doer of your word and not the hearer alone in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
