EMBRACING SPIRITUAL MATURITY

2 I fed you with milk, not solid food; for you were not ready. for it; and even yet. you are not ready, 3 for you are still. of the flesh

THE SEED

”Brothers and sisters, I could not address you as people who live by the Spirit but as people who are still worldly—mere infants in Christ.“ 1 Corinthians 3:1 NIV

In the opening scripture above, Apostle Paul addresses the Corinthian believers, expressing his concern that he could not speak to them as spiritual people but as infants in Christ. This concern requests us to also reflect on our own spiritual journey. Are we still reliant on spiritual milk, or have we embraced the solid food of God’s Word? The call to spiritual maturity is not just for the Corinthians; it applies to each of us today. Spiritual maturity involves stability, a firm foundation in truth, and the ability to discern false teachings. It is a process of growth that requires intentional engagement with God’s Word, prayer, and a desire to be transformed into the image of Christ. As we navigate our faith journey, let us heed the call to embrace spiritual maturity. Let us hunger for the solid food of God’s Word, allowing it to nourish our souls and equip us to withstand the challenges of life.

BIBLE READINGS:  Hebrews 5:11-14

PRAYER: Lord, help me to grow in discernment, love, and a deeper understanding of you to help me move from spiritual infancy to maturity in Christ. Amen.
