ENVIRONMENTAL SHIFT

  ENVIRONMENTAL SHIFT

THE SEED

“There He was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and His clothes became as white as the light.” Matt 17: 1-2

Jesus took these three disciples, who were fishermen, before they met Jesus. Jesus took them mountain climbing, different from the sea life to which they were accustomed; it was about 9000 feet above the ground. Jesus was transformed before them, and they themselves saw Moses and Elijah in conversation with Jesus Christ. What a scene. And indeed, it is a privilege for them to have this encounter, which serves as part of their training for leadership in their ministry. Reflect on their experience and apply it to your life. A life ready to serve, God must have environmental and mindset changes to allow you to fully develop into who God wants you to be.  Are you ready for the environmental change, from being a fisherman to a mountain climber? At a greater height, while climbing the mountain, the oxygen level will change, and things will be different there. Are you ready to change? Are you flexible enough to shift your opinion? Are you ready for new friends? Are you ready to break your relationship with the backbiters, scoffers, revenge-seekers, and unrighteous to fit into this new elevated position? (Psalm 1: 1-end). You need a new mindset shift to realise that every new level has its own battles and challenges. The higher you go, the more fights are ahead of you. To maintain that level till God takes you higher, learn to survive by putting on your weapons of war (Eph 6:10) and surround yourself with men of valour and virtuous women that would help you grow and be strengthened.

BIBLE READING: Matthew 17: 1-9

PRAYER: God, invite me to the mountain-top to experience your glory and visions of the transformed Christ.
