THE SEED
“For I also am a man under authority, having soldiers under me. And I say to this one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and to another, ‘Come,’ and he comes; and to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it. When Jesus heard it, He marvelled, and said to those who followed, “Assuredly, I say to you, I have not found such great faith, not even in Israel!” – Matthew 8:9 (KJV)
Jesus was amazed by the Centurion’s understanding of authority because he recognized the link between faith and authority. Just as a policeman’s badge represents the authority of the nation and ensures compliance without physical effort, our faith backed by the Word of God carries divine authority. When we speak in alignment with God’s Word, circumstances, opposition, and fear must obey. Walking in this understanding allows believers to operate in mountain-moving faith and experience absolute victory in Christ. Great faith comes from recognizing and exercising the authority we have in Christ.
