FORGIVE AS YOU HAVE BEEN FORGIVEN

THE SEED

”Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.“ Ephesians 4:32 ESV

The above scripture encourages us that in God’s forgiveness of our sins, we should also be inspired to forgive others with the same compassion and love we have received from God. There is an amazing parable told by Jesus to this effect in the book of Matthew chapter 18. The life of some followers of Christ can be related to the unforgiving servant in the parable. He displayed a high level of ungratefulness when he dealt mercilessly with his fellow servant who owed him little after his master had forgiven him the huge debt he owed him. The significance of this parable to us is that each time we refuse to forgive our fellow brethren for their wrongs towards us, we are certainly telling God who forgave our huge sins that we are ungrateful. The intention of God is for us to learn from Him and have the willingness of heart to forgive anyone who offends us.
