Forgive One Another

THE SEED
Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you. Ephesians 4:31-32

The Apostle Paul, inspired by the Holy Spirit, urges us again to renounce all bitterness, wrath, anger, perpetual animosity, resentment, strife, fault-finding and slander. All these negative emotions and attitudes hurt the one who possesses them in the first place and then those to whom they are directed to. At the same time, every kind of malice which can be spiteful, verbal abuse or malevolence, have no place in a Christian’s heart or in any relationships with others. On the contrary, we should be kind and help one another, treating others with compassion, understanding and be quick to forgive their wrongs against us, just as God forgives us all our sins in Jesus Christ. When those around us do not treat us right repeatedly, it can be hard to obey God’s Word, but it is worth it to obey God and keep our hearts pure. There are situations when we need to pray a lot and even fast for being able to please God, but with the help of the Holy Spirit we can do it. Sometimes, the Holy Spirit will show that we need to protect ourselves from the ones who intentionally and constantly hurt us so that the bad situation stops.

BIBLE READING: Mark 11:25, Matthew 6:15

PRAYER: LORD help me to truly forgive them all and show them mercy and kindness and show me how You want me to treat every person and how to stay away from those who enjoy hurting me constantly in the Name of Jesus. Amen.
