THE SEED
For if you forgive men their trespasses, your Heavenly Father will also forgive you, But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
Forgiveness involves a process of letting go of anger, resentment, and desire for revenge. It’s about choosing to show love and compassion to someone who has wronged you. That is why we have to be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as God forgives us, when we wrong Him. This verse reminds us that we can forgive one another as God forgives us. Forgiveness is not always easy sometimes, it can be very difficult to forgive someone who has hurt you. But the Bible teaches us that forgiveness is possible with the help of God. Forgiveness is an important part of the Christian faith. Forgiveness is all about freeing yourself from negative emotions and finding inner peace. One great example of forgiveness in the Bible is the story of Joseph and his brothers. Joseph was the favourite son of his father, and his brothers became jealous of him, due to this. They sold him into slavery and lied to their father that he passed. Years later, when Joseph had become a powerful man in Egypt, a Prime Minister for that matter, his brothers came to him, begging for food during the famine, even though they could not recognise him again, Joseph did not revenge their evil deeds, instead, he chose to forgive, love and give them more food than they requested for. Joseph also brought them to live with him in the land of Egypt. Let’s learn to forgive others, no matter how difficult it may be.
