“Let the giving of thanks be your sacrifice to God and give the Almighty all that you promised.” Psalm 50:14 GNT
Brethren, the desire of God our father is for us to be thankful to Him. To God, this is the most acceptable and greatest sacrifice to Him. It’s good to honour God with our substance, but this might be a tradition you have learned to do, not totally because you are personally thankful for receiving God’s blessings. In the case of the Israelites, God did acknowledge to have seen their burnt offerings which they were diligently bringing before Him, but God said that He didn’t see their thanksgiving! Thanksgiving is an expression of a grateful heart and it’s not bound to time, location, or situation. Whatever situation we find ourselves in must not dictate our attitude of thanksgiving to God; and unknown to many brethren, thanksgiving is a great weapon to win battles of life. If we’re habitual thanksgivers, God said that He will answer us in the days of trouble to save us. Winning life’s battles are not sometimes about thunderous prayer points, but trusting God in thanksgiving does open the most difficult doors.
PRAYER
Lord, I desire to be a habitual thanksgiver, let the spirit of thanksgiving fall afresh on me in Jesus’ name. Amen
