GOD LISTENS TO A REPENTANT SOUL
THE SEED
“The waters surrounded me, even to my soul; The deep closed around me; Weeds were wrapped around my head.” – Jonah 2:5 (NKJV)
Prophet Jonah, a man who knew the consequences of disobedience, painted a vivid picture of his agony in the belly of the fish. He described how the waters closed around him and weeds were wrapped around his head—a symbol of despair and helplessness. But at the point of no return, Jonah cried out to God. That cry was not ignored. God heard him and rescued him from destruction. Jonah was restored to his mandate, proving once again that God never turns away a broken and contrite heart. When we find ourselves in desperate situations—physically, spiritually, or emotionally—the only sure way of escape is Jesus Christ. He said, “The one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out” (John 6:37). He is the Master over every situation, and He never fails those who call upon Him in repentance and faith.

PRAYER: My Father, forgive my sins. Please remove every weed wrapped around my head and deliver me from despair so I can serve You and fulfil my mandate. Amen.
