GOD WILL DO IT

THE SEED

“For My own sake, I will do it; For how should My name be profaned? And I will not give My glory to another.” Isaiah 48:11 NKJV

Hannah was a woman who was humiliated by her husband’s wife for not having children. Even though she would have tried other options as Sarah did, she decided to return to Shiloh each year as she knew that God would deliver her. She continued to visit Shiloh despite being the target of ridicule, and one year, she was so tired that she cried out of bitterness in her soul, prayed, and made a vow to God. Upon hearing her prayer, the Priest, who happened to be there, thought she was intoxicated. Nevertheless, he spoke one sentence, and the following year, she became pregnant with Samuel—exactly what she had requested. There is nothing that God cannot do. The line “Mine horn is exalted in the Lord” from Hannah’s account in our Bible reading is my favourite part of her story. She then started talking about the things that God is capable of.  Christians occasionally lose sight of God’s power because we get distracted and see life from the perspective of the world, hence we are often reminded of God’s ability to do and undo all things through miracles and testimonies. Why do we stress so much about what to eat, drink, or wear when God provides them all? God desires that we be hard-working; certainly, we should be diligent, but why worry? We ought to have complete faith and give the Lord our worries and aspirations. We will not be let down when we give them to Him.

BIBLE READING: 1 Samuel 2: 1-11

PRAYER: Oh Lord, I surrender all my worries to you, Make the best of my Life in Jesus’ Name.
