GOD’S UNENDING MERCY

GOD’S UNENDING MERCY

THE SEED

“Through the Lord’s mercies, we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning, great is Your faithfulness”. Lamentations 3:22-23 NKJV

God is good, God is faithful, and His mercy is forever, there are cases in which we do not deserve His grace or mercy because of our sins, but because He is not a man that He should use our sins against us, He takes care of us and protects us from every harm. Even as born-again Christians, we still stumble into sin at times because we are work-in-progress towards perfection, it is by the power of grace that we can walk in obedience to God. It’s not really because we are prayerful or because we are good Christians that we go out and come in without being hurt. If it were not for the grace of God, we would not be alive, it is the grace of God that makes us sleep and wake up every day, it is God’s mercy that keeps us going, it is His mercy that singles us out for greatness out of so many people. It is His mercy that qualifies us when we are not qualified. It is His mercy that wakes us up and keeps us. Everywhere and every day, danger lurks around, but as children of God and the ones that He loves, He protects us. According to Matthew 6:14, we pray God forgives us our trespasses as we forgive others their trespasses against us. We cannot continue being unforgiving and hateful towards our neighbour and expect God’s mercy; it is not possible. As God has mercy on us every day and gives us second chances, He expects us also to forgive those who have offended us.
