I AM SAVED
THE SEED
“And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said, “Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.” Acts 16:30-31 KJV
When a person says “I Am Saved,” it means he has acknowledged himself as a sinner, confessed his sins, and accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Saviour. Jesus has now set him free from the bondage of sin, and he no longer lives in sin. Salvation is through grace when the person accepts Jesus Christ through faith or belief in Him. Therefore, he is no longer condemned and will bypass eternal death for eternal life. John 5:24 says, Very truly, I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes in Him, who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life. Zacchaeus was a sinful and cheating Tax Collector, who encountered Jesus. He found a way to seek Jesus, and when he met Jesus Christ, his life changed as he repented of his greedy and dishonest life and became a God-fearing and charitable man. The Bible encourages us that whenever our sins are forgiven, we become a changed person. Some years ago, I remembered how terrible my character and attitude were because I did not know Christ and was living in a hostile environment, maltreated by the person who looked after me when my father died, and my behaviour was affected. I turned worse, which was still evident for many more years even after I left the place. But I became saved when I met Christ, and I became a new being in Christ. Hallelujah, I am saved. However, we can only be saved from our past behaviour through Jesus, when we give our lives to Him and accept Him as our Lord and Saviour. He has power over death, and through His death, He has paid the price of our sins.
