“Idle hands are the devil’s workshop; Idle lips are his mouthpiece.” Proverb 16: 27(LB)
Believers and true children of God are not to be idle so as not to be open to the devil as an evil instrument. We should all be aware of the antics of the devil that he goes up and down each day to seek who he may devour, we should be careful not to fall victim. The devil roars every day to cause us to wrong God by pushing to us evil acts and ideas, if one is not vigilant, we can fall for it and in realising the error committed, one might go deeper by trying to cover it with another sin which takes one away completely from the Lord, in no time a bridge will be created that will make it difficult to relate with our God. As it’s the case with King David and Bathsheba Uriah’s wife, had the King been at war with the people of God as he should have been and not indulged in idleness that led him to the sin of adultery, he would have not fallen a victim. Moreover, he would not have fallen for the cover-up plan of Satan to have Uriah killed. Children of God we need to equip and guide our hearts Spiritually, hearing and continuously hearing the word of God is the only way out, indulge in contents that will increase your Strength and Power in God. We are in the world but we are never of the world. Always make sure you are busy doing the right things at the right time, spiritually and physically to escape idleness.
PRAYER
May God help me to keep away from Spiritual and physical idleness in Jesus’ Mighty Name. Amen.
