JESUS, THE LIVING WATER

JESUS, THE LIVING WATER

THE SEED
“On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.”John 7:37-38 NKJV

Water is essential for life, but there is a deeper thirst within us that only Jesus can quench. When Jesus
spoke of “living water,” He was referring to the Holy Spirit, who works in and through those who believe in Him. Just as physical water refreshes the body, the living water of the Holy Spirit renews our souls, bringing healing, peace, and joy. Only Jesus can satisfy the deepest longings of our hearts. He
invites us in John 7:37, saying, “If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.” This invitation is open to everyone—regardless of past mistakes or present struggles. The story of the Samaritan woman at the well beautifully illustrates this truth. Despite her broken past, Jesus offered her living water, demonstrating His unconditional love and grace.
How do we drink from this living water? By walking in obedience to follow the instructions of the Holy Spirit, giving thanks to God, calling upon His name, meditating on His Word, and sharing His goodness with others. When we focus on Jesus, our lives will never be stagnant, for living water constantly flows. If you are thirsty for peace, purpose, and fulfillment, come to Jesus today, and He will satisfy your soul.

PRAYER: Lord, pour Your refreshing living water into my life. Fill me with the power of the Holy Spirit and draw me closer to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
