“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Jeremiah 29:11 (KJV).
Joseph being the beloved of his father was sold into slavery by his brothers due to the intimidation envisaged of his greatness. As early as 17 years old, he had to face several difficulties ranging from working as a slave, being wrongfully accused of sexual harassment by his master’s wife and being locked into prison. All of these challenges were enough for Joseph to say he wanted to give up or question the faithfulness of God. In all of these, Joseph remained faithful to God who never disappointed him. He was elevated from the position of a slave to the position of Prime Minister in Egypt. The brothers of Joseph could not believe their eyes when they discovered that the Prime Minister in Egypt who had helped the land of Egypt to overcome a great famine was the little boy they sold into slavery. This was how much God turned Joseph’s story around. Beloved, the difficulties we are facing right now or the years we think have already gone to waste could be that God is preparing our testimonies just as that of Joseph. Therefore instead of giving up and doubting the supremacy of God, we should rather be faithful to God and continually say or remind ourselves that; “God is preparing my testimony”
