KNOWING GOD’S TIMING

KNOWING GOD’S TIMING

THE SEED

“When Jesus therefore perceived that they would come and take him by force, to make him a king, he departed again into a mountain himself alone.” –John 6:15 (KJV)

In John 6:15, after the miracle of feeding the five thousand, the crowd wanted to make Jesus king by force. Yet, Jesus withdrew to the mountain, knowing that their intentions were misguided. While they sought a political saviour, Jesus understood that His mission was far greater—He came to establish a heavenly kingdom, not an earthly one. His refusal to be crowned king at that moment shows His perfect understanding of God’s timing and purpose. We, too, may face moments when others push us toward paths or decisions that seem appealing but are outside of God’s plan. Like Jesus, we must be sensitive to God’s timing, resisting the urge to rush ahead or to seek approval from the world. True victory and success come from walking in alignment with God’s will, not from the pressures or expectations of others. Let us seek God’s wisdom and be patient in His timing, trusting that His plan for us is always perfect.

BIBLE READING: John 6:14-21 (KJV)

PRAYER: Lord, help me to recognise and follow Your perfect timing for my life. Guide my steps so that I may resist the pressures around me and align myself fully with Your will and purpose. Amen.
