THE SEED
“Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good deeds …” Matthew 5:16 (AMP).
The moment you accept Jesus as your Lord and personal Savior and you also permit the Holy Spirit to start working on your inner man, you become the light of the world. Light means illumination. Where there is light, there is clarity. In other words, our duty and responsibility as believers is to illuminate and bring clarity to the world. Rather than allowing the world to influence us, we are to influence the world. A lot of us get caught up with the things going on around us which most times make us forget our true identity. Our true identity is light. Believers are the ones to change the world and live by example. However, if we have the light within us and decide to act as if we are children of darkness, how will unbelievers come to the understanding of God through us? The essence of shining our light is for people to see God through us and come into the light. We should not be ashamed of being different from the world. Peter turned his back on Jesus but received mercy after he repented and this brought people to his light. Judas on the other hand refused to let his light shine despite knowing the light and this brought about his destruction. Our companions, companies and associations need to see the light of God through us so that they can also come into that light.

“Ẹ jẹki ìmọ́lẹ̀ yín kí o tań tobẹ, níwájú eniyan, kì wọn ki o lè máa rí iṣẹ́ rere yín…” Matteu 5:16.
Ni akoko ti o ba gba Jesu gẹgẹ bi Oluwa ati olugbala rẹ, ati pe o tun gba Ẹ̀mi Ḿímọ́ laaye lati bẹrẹ si ṣíṣe lori eniyan inu rẹ, o di imọlẹ ti agbaye, èyí sì nmú kì ohun gbogbo hàn kedere nínú ayé. Dípò tì a o fi gbá ayé láàyè, lati muwa tẹlé iṣe tí wọn, àwa ní kì o mu awọn ayé tẹle iwa wa. Ọ̀pọ̀lọpọ̀ wà, máa n tete ngbà iṣe ati àṣà tí o wa layika, eleyii máa nmú wà ngbagbe iru ènìyàn ti a jẹ nínú Kristi. Àmì ìdánimọ̀ tòótọ tí a ni, ni amí imọlẹ. Onígbàgbọ lo ni ẹtọ lati yí ayé pada ki a sí máa gbé ìgbé ayé apẹrẹ. Nigbati a bá ní imọlẹ nínú wà, tí a sí tun pinu láti máà dàbí ọmọ okuku, bawo ni awọn alaigbagbọ yio ṣe ni oye Ọlọrun lati ipasẹ wà? Eredi ti imọlẹ wa fí gbọdọ tan ní pé ki awọn eniyan ri Ọlọrun nipasẹ wà, ki wọn sí wà sí imọlẹ. A ko gbọdọ̀ tiju lati yatọ sí ayé. Peteru kẹhìn si Jesu, ṣugbọn o ri aanu gba lẹhin ti o ti ronú piwada eyi mu awọn enia wa si imọlẹ rẹ.
