LIVING IN GOD’S PURPOSE FOR ONE’S LIFE

LIVING IN GOD’S PURPOSE FOR ONE’S LIFE

THE SEED

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose. Roman 8: 28 NIV

A person’s purpose is their aim or goal in life. Therefore, God’s plan for our lives relates to what He wants us to accomplish as His creation. God desires for each of us to reach our own goals and purposes. But He desires for us to achieve this with Him on our side. Living according to God’s plan for our lives entails achieving these, while overcoming whatever obstacles we may encounter along the way. But a lot of Christians do not know what God has in store for them. The account of Jeremiah’s call to purpose provides a valuable perspective on seeing that every person has a specific role to play in God’s presence. By doing this, we witness how God restored Jeremiah’s faith in himself and strengthened and renewed his purpose. This indicates that God created us with an intent, and is willing to help us fulfill them. In living according to God’s plan, we must have a strong relationship with the Holy Spirit to be enlightened and able to discern what is best for us. The Spirit of God is a revealer of hidden things and He is always there to assist us in understanding whatever function God intends for us through obedience and active service to God’s will. Additionally, to live in God’s purpose is to put our faith and confidence in Him, despite the difficulties that we may encounter, knowing that if we do this, he will see us through whatever it is that we may be encountering.
