Mercy In The Time Of Need

THE SEED
‘Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.’

Our God is mighty; His voice, His hands, and even His words are enough to save us. He is a merciful and gracious king and can solve whatever problems we encounter. When Haman sought to destroy the Israelites out of dislike for Mordecai, it was mercy and grace that Esther found when they called upon God that saved them. Even so, when Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego were to be destroyed in Babylon for refusing to worship the idols, as commanded by Nebuchadnezzar, it was still the name of God that upheld them. All of these were life-threatening situations, yet God came through and fought for them. He had mercy on them, and they obtained grace that saved their lives. God is always ready to help us, whatever the situation might be. The grace that helps one in times of need is in His hands. It is therefore important that we make use of this grace. Not even fear can dominate grace. No matter how big a problem one is facing, the hand of God is always ready to save us.
