OBEDIENCE

THE SEED

“For this is the love of God that we keep his commandments, and his commandments are not grievous. 1 John 5:3 KJV

Obedience is better than sacrifice. obedience is the very best way to show that you believe. Jesus makes it clear that who we are is revealed not in what we say, but in what we do. Abraham followed God’s instructions, even though it was hard. Because Abraham obeyed, God promised to make him into a great nation. As a child, if you obey your parents, they will reward you because you listen to their instructions, that is how God is going to reward those who obey his commandments. Obedience is when you are submissive to the will of another. Obedience in biblical form is when you hear the word of God and you do it. When we completely surrender to God’s authority and base our decisions and our actions on His word. We are called to obedience to remain in union with God. If we refuse to obey God, we will live a life of unhappiness and we will be separated from God like Adam and Eve. For us not to fall like Adam and Eve, we must obey God’s instructions and we will live a happy life. The unity we have with Christ ultimately leads to a life of happiness. Happiness with God is our intended end.
