THE SEED
“Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good” Romans 12: 21.
In the present time, we might be faced with all sorts of unpleasant situations such as lies, false accusations, selfishness, hatred, unfaithfulness, and others. However, as children of God, we must not permit these behaviours to define who we are or change the heaven-bound nature that we have as children of God. We must be ambassadors of our heavenly father here on earth by being loving, truthful, forgiving and kind to others even when they don’t deserve it. When we are true ambassadors of our Father, we get special blessings from our God that are unquantifiable. We can overcome evil with good when we do not allow the behaviour of others to alter our Christ-like attributes. We can overcome the devil, who is the originator of these unfriendly traits exhibited by others. Thereafter, our shining God-like nature becomes attractive to others, drawing them to our saviour and Lord Jesus Christ.
BIBLE READING: Romans 12:17-21.
PRAYER: Lord Jesus, I pray for the grace to overcome evil with good so that your light can transform others through me. Amen.
