PRAYER

THE SEED

I beseech thee, O Lord, remember now how I have walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in thy sight and Hezekiah wept sore. 2 King 20:3 (KJV).

Prayer is the one way that we express ourselves to God and it’s a solemn request for help or expression of thanks and worship addressed to God. Prayer is the act of communication by humans with the sacred God. It is a significant and universal aspect of religion. Prayer is the master key. In Christianity or any other religion, what we need most to conquer the devil, its cohorts and the challenges of this world is prayer. The Bible says Jesus prayed and the sweat coming from him is like that of blood. Prayer is like a sacrifice you offer to God, there are different kinds of prayer as explained in the scripture, the prayer of faith, agreement, Thanksgiving, worship, Holy Spirit, request and intercession. In the Bible, Hannah was a completely barren woman seeking the fruit of the womb, she was bitter and cried unto God for the fruit of the womb and prayed for a son, promising to dedicate him to God. Her prayer was answered and God gave her a son named Samuel. She stuck to her promise and she brought forth Samuel to Shiloh for religious training. She gave him to God completely. So there is nothing so difficult and threatening that you can’t tell God in prayer, He is ever ready to hearken to your voice and surprise you with testimonies. Great is His faithfulness.

BIBLE READING: Jeremiah 29:12-14

PRAYER: Oh my Father in Heaven endow me with the power to pray without ceasing in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
