THE SEED
“We did not give in to them for a moment so that the truth of the gospel might be preserved for you.” Galatians 2:5 (NIV)
The gospel of Christ is the foundation of our faith; salvation by grace through faith, not by human effort. In Galatians 2, Apostle Paul recounts how false believers tried to impose legalistic requirements on the early church, threatening the purity of the gospel. But Paul stood firm, refusing to compromise or yield, so that the truth of the gospel would remain untainted and available for generations to come. As believers today, we have a responsibility to uphold and defend the gospel in its simplicity and power. There will always be pressures; whether cultural, religious, or ideological; to water it down, twist it, or add to it. But we must remain vigilant, like the Apostle Paul, to preserve the message of Christ crucified and risen, offering grace and freedom to all who believe. Let us be discerning and courageous, rejecting teachings that deviate from the gospel and clinging to the truth that sets us free.

PRAYER: Lord, help me to stand firm in the truth of the gospel. Give me the discernment to recognise the error and the courage to speak up for what is right. May I never compromise the message of grace, but preserve it in love and truth in Jesus name, Amen.
