REFLECTING ON HIS FAITHFULNESS

THE SEED
“Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits.” Psalm 103:2 (NKJV)

As the year winds down, it’s easy to become preoccupied with goals yet to be achieved or disappointments we’ve encountered. But David’s words in Psalm 103 call us to deliberate remembrance: “forget not all His benefits.” When we take time to reflect, we begin to see the many ways God has carried, provided, and preserved us, even in the moments we overlooked or were unknown to us. Reflection is not about reliving regrets but retracing grace. God has been faithful, whether in seasons of abundance or days of stretching. Each answered prayer, unexpected provision, and quiet assurance has been a trait of His steadfast love. As we prepare for the year ahead, we must first pause to honour the One who walked with us every step of the way. Gratitude grows when we count the small and great mercies of God. Before asking for the new, give thanks for what has been. A heart that remembers is a heart that rejoices.

PRAYER: Lord, thank You for the countless ways You’ve shown me mercy and grace this year. Help me to reflect on Your faithfulness and remember all that You’ve done. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
