RIGHTEOUSNESS BY FAITH IS A GIFT FROM GOD

RIGHTEOUSNESS BY FAITH IS A GIFT FROM GOD
THE SEED
“As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one.” Romans 3:10
Many people spend years trying to be “good”; giving to charity, avoiding wrongdoing, and striving to live morally; yet still feel unworthy before God. It’s important to understand that righteousness is not something we can earn through our efforts; it is a gift received through faith in Jesus Christ. When we truly believe, we experience peace and stop depending on our strength. Instead, we allow Christ to live through us, walking daily in His grace and power. The Bible clearly states that no one is righteous on their own. Romans 3:10–12 says, “None is righteous, no, not one… no one seeks for God.” This emphasises that humanity, by nature, is sinful and cannot attain righteousness through works. Good deeds, as noble as they may be, are not enough. Salvation is essential. Through Jesus Christ, righteousness is available by faith. Adam’s disobedience brought sin to all, but Christ’s obedience brings righteousness to those who believe. Jesus’ perfect life and sacrificial death reconciled us to God. Righteousness, therefore, is not earned; it is a gift received by faith. This transformation begins in the heart. When a person accepts Christ, they are given a new heart, and Jesus dwells in them. This is not based on human merit but on divine grace. However, living out righteousness daily requires surrender to God. Though we are made righteous in spirit, our mortal bodies still struggle with sin. Thus, we must walk by the Spirit, letting Christ live through us.
