Self-Reliance

THE SEED
I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. John 15:5

The capacity to rely on one’s own abilities and resources is known as self-reliance. Each of us has occasionally relied on our own fortitude to get through a challenging situation. Satan pushes us to depend solely on ourselves, and he wants us to do so. Because he is aware of our vulnerability in the absence of Jesus’ power. Since he has prevented a saint from playing his part in the body of Christ, he is happy whenever he can make us forget about Jesus and fill us with pride so that we don’t think we need Jesus. This is the true meaning of relying on ourselves rather than Jesus. because we don’t put our faith in Jesus to provide for us or look after us. That we don’t think Jesus will be able to keep His promises as made in the Bible. Today, confusion is still widespread. They are unaware that when they confessed Jesus as their Lord and Savior, He promised to meet our needs and to serve as both our Lord and our Savior. Dearly beloved, before we can resist being moved, we must have strong roots in our spiritual basis. Jesus is our rock, and we must bury ourselves deeply in Him. Many people nowadays rely solely on their own resources to get through life, which prevents them from performing God’s tasks. God instructs us to rely on Him since He is aware that we cannot succeed on our own.

PRAYER
Father Lord, help me to build my faith and trust in You.
