“I will give thanks to the LORD because of his righteousness; I will sing the praises of the name of the LORD Most High.” Psalms 7:17 NIV

Today, let’s take a moment to pause and give thanks to the Lord for His righteousness. In simple terms, righteousness means doing what is right, just, and fair. Our God is always right and just in His ways, and His righteousness is something we can rely on in every aspect of our lives, especially in a time like this when we have the grace to witness the second half of the year. When we face challenges or uncertainties, it’s easy to get discouraged or anxious. But when we remember the righteousness of the Lord, it reminds us that we are not alone and that there is a higher power guiding us. He is our rock and our anchor, providing a solid foundation for us to stand upon. The Bible verse in Psalms 7:17 encourages us to sing praises to the name of the Lord Most High. When we praise Him, we are acknowledging His greatness, goodness, and righteousness. It shifts our focus from our problems to the One who is greater than any difficulty we might encounter.

So, as we go about our day, let’s remember to give thanks to the Lord for His righteousness. Let’s praise His name and strive to live justly, lovingly, and humbly in our interactions with others. In doing so, we will draw closer to God and experience the blessings that come from aligning our lives with His righteous ways.
