THE SEED
“Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, ‘Peace, be still!’ And the wind ceased and there was a great calm.” — Mark 4:39 (NKJV)
Storms in life come in many forms—trials, uncertainties, hardships. They shake our faith and test our endurance. But in the midst of every storm, there is One who has the power to bring peace.
When the disciples were caught in a violent storm, they were terrified. Yet, with just a word, Jesus calmed the wind and the waves. This miracle demonstrated His authority over nature, chaos, and fear. It also serves as a reminder that no storm in our lives is beyond His control. Jesus is the ultimate source of peace. While we may not be able to avoid life’s storms, we can trust that He is always with us. He is our refuge, strength, and ever-present help in times of trouble (Psalm 46:1).
As believers, we are not promised a life free from struggles, but we are assured that God will carry us through them. His peace is available to us when we pray and seek His presence—calling upon Him in difficult times, trusting in His power—believing that He is greater than any problem, and have faith in His promises—knowing that He will never forsake us. No matter what storm you are facing today, know that Jesus is with you. He is able to calm the waves and bring peace to your heart.
