THE PROMISE OF HIS RETURN

THE SEED

”Behold, I am coming quickly! Hold fast what you have, that no one may take your crown.“ Revelation 3:11 NKJV

This season not only marks the celebration of Christ’s birth but also serves as a reminder of His return as echoed in the above scripture. Beloved of Christ, as we prepare to celebrate the remembrance of Jesus’ birth, we must also anticipate His second coming. Let us find hope and encouragement in the promise of Christ’s return. Just as the world longed for the Messiah’s arrival, we eagerly await His second coming. Let this season be a time of reflection and preparation, to ensure that we are found faithful and watchful when our Savior returns. Who knows, the long-awaited return of our Lord might be during this celebration, just like he did with the ten virgins. Don’t let us lose the focus of the essence of our belief, which is to reign with Him in eternity. We must not allow food and gifts to make us sin against God, thereby causing obstacles to our reign with Christ. In the gospel of Elder Luke, our Lord Jesus charged us to be prepared, to watch and pray, so that His return will not meet us unprepared.  ”But be on guard, so that your hearts are not weighed down and depressed with the giddiness of debauchery, the nausea of self-indulgence and the worldly worries of life, and then that day [when the Messiah returns] will not come on you suddenly like a trap;“

PRAYER: Lord, as I prepare to celebrate Christmas, keep me focused on things that are important to get me ready for your return in Jesus’ name. Amen
