THE STORM CALMER

THE SEED

“And behold, there arose a great tempest in the sea; in so much that ship was covered with the waves but he was asleep.” Mathew 8:24

The story of Jesus sleeping during the storm is like a father who took his child out into Orange Grove and told his six-year-old boy to pluck some oranges for himself. After struggling so much to no avail, the boy whimpered and complained to his father he could not reach the oranges. The father plugged one for him and said “You could have requested to use a ladder. People do ask why it happened that Jesus was sleeping while they had a storm. It appears clearly that it was intentional on Jesus’s part to sleep while his disciples toiled for nought, trying to save the boat and their lives in the storm. First of all, the storm was so strong, yet Jesus was sleeping in the storm. Was Jesus truly sleeping? No,  Jesus intended for it to happen for a reason which is, that he wanted to use the event of the storm to teach his disciples about faith. Eventually, Jesus got up to rebuke the storm and said to the sea “Peace, be still”. And then, he questioned the faith of his disciples saying, why are you so afraid? Have you still no faith? God can sometimes allow his children to encounter storms for a reason; it could be to reshape, to rebuild and to increase their faiths. No matter the level of the storms in your life THE GREAT STORM CALMER is 100% available to control it. Hallelujah!
