THE SEED
“Neither have I gone back from the commandments of his lips; I have esteemed the words of His mouth more than my necessary food”. Job 23:12
Consistent nourishment of our body as humans with physical food is necessary for our survival and healthy living. Also, regular nourishment of our spirit by the word of God is necessary for our spirit to function and survive in this world. Are you seeking to know God more? Do you want the eye of your spiritual understanding to be opened? Do you seek to enjoy God’s direction in all your ways? If your answer is ‘yes’ to each of these questions, then constantly feeding your spirit with His word will give you access to these blessings and more in our Lord Jesus Christ. Obedience to the word of God must follow the nourishment of your spirit by God’s word. This will ultimately lead you to live a life that pleases God. When we are adequately nourished by the word of God, we get convicted of sin and we receive forgiveness of our sins by faith. We are later transformed to become more and more like Christ. As a true child of God, the hold of the devil is destroyed in our lives, and we enjoy peace, joy and other blessings that are the birthrights of a real child of God. Constantly nourish your spirit with the word of God and enjoy God more than ever before.
BIBLE READING: Job 23:10-15.
PRAYER: My heavenly father, grant me the grace to constantly nourish my spirit with your word so that I can experience the transformational power of your word. Amen.
