THE TRUE VINE IS JESUS CHRIST

THE TRUE VINE IS JESUS CHRIST

THE SEED
“I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser.” John 15:1 (NKJV)
Jesus described Himself as the true vine, illustrating the vital relationship between Him and His followers. In this analogy, God is the gardener who tends to the vine, ensuring that it flourishes, while believers are the branches that depend on the vine for life. Just as a branch cannot survive or bear fruit apart from the vine, we cannot thrive spiritually unless we remain connected to Christ. Through our relationship with Jesus, we receive the strength, nourishment, and guidance needed to fulfil God’s purpose for our lives. Without Him, our efforts become unfruitful, but when we abide in Him, we grow and bear lasting fruit. A life rooted in Christ is characterised by love, kindness, faithfulness, patience, peace, and self-control. These qualities reflect His presence in us and show the world the transformation He brings. Jesus made it clear that apart from Him, we can do nothing. If we desire to live meaningful lives in God’s sights, we must remain in Him through prayer, obedience, and a deep, personal relationship with God. Sin separates us from the vine, but repentance restores our connection, and consistency allows us to grow in grace and truth uninterrupted. When we abide in Jesus, He abides in us, and our lives become fruitful. The closer we draw to Him, the more He draws near to us, filling us with His presence and purpose. A life connected to the true vine glorifies our Father in heaven and brings forth the good works He has prepared for us.

BIBLE READING: John 15:1–7
PRAYER: Heavenly Father, help me to remain connected to the True Vine, yielding a harvest of good works. May my life bear fruit that glorifies You and shares the message of Christ with those around me. Amen.
