THE UNPREPARED

THE SEED

”Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming.“ Matthew 25:13 NKJV

The Lord, in His parables of the ten virgins, tells us that the time of His coming is unknown to anyone: meaning it could be any time! I mean it could be today!! People of God can become unprepared because they choose to live carefree lifestyles, just like in the days of Noah. He warned the people about the flood but they did not listen. A true Christian needs to make a wise choice. Satan didn’t want people to serve and work for God. The devil comes to kill, steal and destroy. No matter the circumstances you must have a great desire to do the work of God, be steadfast and uphold Him tightly. Because the devil lies patiently ahead awaiting in ambush looking for who to devour, As children of God, we need to make ourselves ready at all times, living a righteous and holy life. Five among the ten virgins served and did the will of the bridegroom. This is what the Lord expects from those awaiting His coming. We must keep our lamps burning, and keep living according to God’s word. If we strive to do God’s will He will give us the grace to overcome temptations and to keep the fire burning in us. Those who are unprepared are likely to fall into the trap of the devil. The hook, line and bait are the traps the devil set for the unprepared ones. Let us be careful not to fall for it.
