THE WORK OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

THE WORK OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

THE SEED

”I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.“ Gal 5:16

We can’t achieve sanctificaton on our own. The Holy Spirit is our Helper, empowering us to live a sanctified life, a life that is pleasing unto God. If we allow the Holy Spirit to guide and empower us in our journey toward holiness, we shall not fulfil the desires of the flesh. The work of the Holy Spirit is to guide us to all truths by instructing us on issues of faith and life in Christ. For the Holy Spirit to help us successfully, we need to have listening ears to spiritual guidance and a heart of obedience to act according to the teachings and instructions of the Holy Spirit. When we allow the Holy Spirit to work with us properly, our lives will cease to manifest the works of the flesh and embrace the manifestation of the fruits of the Holy Spirit instead. One evident thing God has called us to is to live like Christ and this is the reason God’s love for Jesus, His only begotten son was not enough to hold God back from sending Jesus to live with us in this wretched world to show us an example of living our lives for God and also died for our enormous sins to bring us reconciliation with His Father through His blood. Therefore, we have no choice left but to embrace the Holy Spirit to work with us so that we can continue to walk in the spirit not to fulfil the desires of our flesh.

BIBLE READINGS:  Galatians 5:16 -25

PRAYER: Lord, please give me listening ears and a heart of obedience to work with the Holy Spirit so that my life will be fully sanctified by your truth in Jesus’ Name. Amen
