“Therefore, the anger of the Lord has fallen on Judah and Jerusalem; he has made them an object of dread and horror and scorn, as you can see with your own eyes.” – 2 Chronicles 29:8 (NIV)
God’s wrath is directed against those who turn away from His ways. When people choose disobedience, impurity, or selfish desires, the result is often devastating. Unholy living, straying from His Word, immoral actions, or even indifference can lead us into bondage. In captivity, lives unravel: children grow rebellious, wives and husbands lose self-control, and families fall into chaos as each person follows their own desires. In the end time as described in the word of God, it is when people will be “lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy… lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God.” Such a life, though tempting, ultimately leads only to sorrow. God’s warning calls us to examine our lives. Are we drifting toward habits that separate us from Him? Let us turn back to God, for He has chosen us to stand before Him and serve Him with devotion (2 Chronicles 29:11).

PRAYER: Jehovah, take control of any evil influence in my family and help us live under Your grace, not Your wrath.
