THE SEED
“Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example to the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.” 1 Timothy 4 : 12 KJV
As the Elders are teaching the young people in the church to grow in their relationship with the Lord nowadays, preparing them to serve Christ in all they do, with the mind to nurture the congregation and allows the church to flourish. But majority of the youth are not ready to accept this love of Christ, they prefer to engage in worldly things that profit them nothing, they have forgotten that Jesus said You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. Some of the young ones are even complaining that God does not manifest Himself like of old, yes the simple answer is that, they don’t serve God like of old, the attitudes of some of them is not welcoming at all, they are so arrogant, rude, cruel, self – centred, hate, contempt and even courtesy is zero, sins explained in the book of Galatians and the Bible says “God is Holy’ and whoever that will serve and follow Him should be holy. Therefore the youth should turn away from their sinful ways, repent genuinely and return to God by seeking first the Kingdom of God and it’s righteousness so that every other thing shall be added unto them, God promised that if my people which are called by my name shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from Heaven, and will forgive their sins, and will heal their lands. So the youth should be awakened, settle themselves with God Almighty and approach everything they do with diligence, enthusiasm and excellence knowing that their work is ultimately for God’s Glory.
BIBLE READING: Proverbs 1 : 7 – 11
PRAYER: Almighty Father we pray that you change the heart of our youth towards you positively and make them useful for your Glory in Jesus Name. Amen
