LIVING RELATIONSHIP WITH CHRIST

THE SEED

“Watch ye therefore and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass and to stand before the Son of man” Luke 21: 36

Living a relationship with Christ goes beyond church-going as many believe. A lot also believe answering the name Christian automatically makes them qualified among the group of people recognised by the Holy Spirit to have a living relationship with Christ. The truth is, having a living relationship with Christ is when you keep the fire burning, and let your character show that you have Jesus beside you. Many people display a nonexistent relationship with Christ in church, before pastors, in and amid people. These are also inclusive but the real question is do you keep the fire burning, even when there is no one around you? God looks at the heart. For man looketh on the outward appearance but the Lord looketh on the heart. Many already lost it and many are losing it because they thought they had a relationship with Christ but the truth is they have no living relationship and anything that is not living is dead. To maintain a living relationship with God, we must be conversant with the Words of God and constantly do what it says. Prayers, giving, evangelism, love and many more; most importantly, have a clean heart. When your relationship with God is alive and active, whenever you call on Him he is always ready to answer you because He sees you as a true and legitimate child who would be able to escape the evil of this world and stand before the Son of man. Ignite the fire in the relationship that you have with Christ today and your life will never remain the same.

BIBLE READING: John 15:4-8

PRAYER: May the Lord give you the spirit and strength to keep your relationship with him alive always, Amen.
