CONDEMNATION IS FOR UNBELIEVERS
THE SEED
There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. Rom 8: 1 NKJV
The scripture points out that anyone who believes in God through Jesus will be saved. Conversely, those who do not believe and live in sin are condemned. In John 8:3–11, the woman caught in adultery was brought to Jesus, and her accusers wanted His opinion based on the law. However, these accusers of the woman had a different reason in mind for bringing the woman to Him (v. 6). They wanted to trap Him into saying something they could use against Him. They thought that if He were to acquit the woman, it would mean that He did not support the law of Moses, but Jesus had one over them. He caught them unaware with a totally different twist to the scenario by asking, “Alright, but let the one who has never sinned throw the first stone.” No one was exempt, and they all left one by one. For any sinner, the escape route from condemnation is believing in Jesus as the Son of God and the redeeming power in His blood. Jesus told Nicodemus in today’s reading that God did not send him into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Unbelievers will be condemned, but those who believe will be saved. The Seed today says, “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.” Therefore, if you have been under condemnation because of your unbelief and sins, remember that there is no more condemnation if you are in Christ; old things have passed away and you are now a new creature. Remain focused, seek after holiness, be righteous, and do away with sin. Through all these, God will keep you from condemnation.
