THE DISTINCTION BETWEEN THE RIGHTEOUS AND THE WICKED

“Then shall ye return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth God and him that serveth him not.” Malachi 3:18 (KJV)

God always makes a clear distinction between those who serve Him faithfully and those who do not. In Genesis 6:13–21, this truth is evident in the story of Noah. While the world was full of wickedness, Noah found favour with God because he lived righteously and walked in obedience. As a result, God revealed His plan of judgment to Noah and gave him detailed instructions to build the ark, which became the vessel of safety for him and his family when destruction came upon the disobedient. This Bible passage reminds us that God sees every heart and rewards faithfulness. Just as Noah was preserved through obedience, those who walk with God today can rely on His faithfulness. Choosing righteousness in a sinful world sets us apart and positions us for divine protection and blessing. Are you living in a way that distinguishes you as one who serves God? A righteous life is the product of intentional choices made daily. It means being conscious every moment to pursue God’s will, even while handling everyday responsibilities. To receive God’s favour like Noah, we must remain faithful; it’s not a matter of wishful thinking, but a lifestyle of obedience, trust, and steadfast belief. In the end, God will always make a clear distinction between the righteous and the wicked.
