STANDING FIRM IN TIMES OF TESTING

THE SEED
“Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil.” Matthew 4:1 (NLT)

When we reflect on this scripture, it is clear that Jesus was not just led into the wilderness to fast and pray, but also to face a confrontation with the enemy. This testing was a critical moment, affirming His identity as the Son of God and preparing Him for the mission ahead. It was after this victorious encounter that His public ministry began. In the same way, our trials are not merely unfortunate disruptions but often divine appointments. They provide an opportunity for us to stand firm in our faith, to declare our identity in Christ, and to deepen our
spiritual strength. Just as Jesus resisted the enemy’s schemes with the Word of God, we too must hold fast to the truth in moments of crisis. If you are currently facing a difficult season, remember that it is not necessarily a sign of God’s displeasure in you for wrongdoings, but perhaps a stage set for your spiritual growth and victory. Stand firm, knowing that God is with you, and He has already made a way of escape.
