SHINING IN A DARK WORLD

SHINING IN A DARK WORLD

THE SEED

“Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.” — Matthew 5:14 (KJV)

God has made His children light-bearers in a dark world. This means our lives must reflect Christ wherever we go. Our actions, speech, character, and even how we respond to pressure should make others glorify God. People may not always hear our preaching, but they can read our lives. Others watch us silently, waiting to see if our words match our deeds. Some may even offend us to see how we will respond. If our light shines consistently, we become living testimonies that point to Jesus. We must live intentionally and reflect the One who called us out of darkness into His marvellous light.

Do not hide your light through compromise or fear. Let it shine boldly so others may glorify God.

Reflection: Your daily life is the lampstand on which God’s light shines.

BIBLE READING: Matthew 5:14–16

PRAYER: Lord, let my light never grow dim. Help me reflect You in all I do so others may glorify Your name. Amen.
